Turley: 'Strange' That Dems Don't Want Clinton Probe Continued, While Supporting Russia Investigation

Law professor Jonathan Turley said it is "strange" that Democrats want to see the Trump-Russia investigation through, but are not as eager when it comes to Hillary Clinton's emails.

State Department releases Huma Abedin emails found on Anthony Weiner's laptop
The State Department on Friday afternoon released a batch of Huma Abedin’s work-related emails that were found by the FBI on her estranged husband’s Anthony Weiner’s laptop.

Turley, of George Washington University, said 2,800 emails were discovered on disgraced former Rep. Anthony Weiner's (D-N.Y.) computer.

Weiner's computer was reportedly shared with his now-estranged wife and Clinton confidante Huma Abedin.

Several of the 2,800 missives were considered classified, Turley said.

"People should let [Robert] Mueller finish his work," he said.

"It's strange for Democrats to say 'don't investigate this -the election is over'," Turley added. "The public has a right to answers [in both investigations]."

Turley added that he does not question Mueller's integrity but thought the former FBI director and Vietnam War veteran was not a great choice for special counsel.

"History will be his judge and he knows that," he said of Mueller.
