Yes, it’s a baby – actually, many babies – ripped apart into little pieces, tiny children who were intricately formed by God but have been torn up by people for profit and convenience. It really is a horror.

...What is not emphasized and why PP originally received federal funding is planning for parenthood. In their various different topics for discussions, under pregnancy they have a sub-category called Considering Pregnancy. It has a nice discussion about considerations of having a child and the attendant challenges. I attempted to get a clarification from them regarding their emphasis on this topic, but received no response from PP regarding my questions.

One would think this would be their primary emphasis. After all, they are named Planned Parenthood. One would assume they were named that for a reason.

PP’s federal funding began in 1970 when President Nixon signed the Family Planning Services and Population Research Act. The act provides for family planning services and family planning information.

Since they named themselves Planned Parenthood and they receive federal funding under an act that dictates the funds be used for family planning services and information, that should be their primary function. They should be promoting that as their principal mission to educate people on having children and when and if it is appropriate for the parties involved. Unplanned pregnancies lead to two very bad results for many people: an abortion or a child they are not prepared mentally, emotionally or financially to handle. The organization seems almost more reactive than proactive.
Planned Parenthood has a huge failure rate. In 2015, they saw 2.5 million patients and PP performed 325,000 abortions without allowing for how many were performed elsewhere. That is a 13% failure rate. Those results are stunningly bad. Think of any other major operation having that kind of failure rate. Think if airlines failed to deliver 13% of the bags with which people entrust them. That airline would be out of business. That does not even address the amount of unwanted pregnancies that happen with those 2.5 million patients that ended up with a child being born unplanned and potentially unwanted.

If you are a pro-choice person you might consider that an abortion is not a negative outcome. Many people who support PP believe there should be unfettered abortions available anytime during the birthing cycle. I don’t believe that is the attitude that the vast majority of pro-choice Americans agree is optimal. I am pro-choice and I believe it is pretty clear that an abortion would not be the first choice in planning for parenthood. It is probably the last choice. It is a statement that planning failed.


The question then becomes why are we allowing funds to go to a private entity that has a huge failure rate and does not even prioritize the mission that the law dictates it should have. It is because PP has become a sacred cow for the Left in this country.There are sufficient other sources in most communities providing similar services. For the rest, we need to build a suitable replacement that meets the mission as defined.

While the 13% number who receive the service is pretty accurate, the analogy it supports is terrible; it is not like a 13% failure rate on airline flights. That is purely an apples and oranges comparison. The only government funding per the Hyde amendment is for abortions for rape, incest and the life of the mother. That is it. All other abortions must find other avenues of funding.

A side note Michaels: I understand you are opposed to abortion. In as much as it is in my power, so am I. BUT I cannot tell other people how to live their lives or impose on them burdens, I might not be willing to bear myself. Not being a woman, I do not know what being pregnant and being abandoned feel like. I would like your sincerity a lot better if you offered a woman care for her children until adulthood in exchange for her right to an abortion or offered to adopt the child and raise it yourself in exchange for her right to an abortion. Because I know that you would do neither, I find your words hollow. I know that right wingers care about a babies life until it is born and then it is on its own.

Abortions have gone down dramatically. First It is never "only" X % or X amount when it comes to the licensed murder of babies. It should always be zero dollars and cents of government money used for abortions. The use of the word "only" always implies that whatever follows is justified.
Next: The Hyde ammendment has always been a meaningless document that was crafted to allow abortions to be paid for with government funding. There is no accountability to the alleged restrictive use of government funding. A person is not required to provide documentation that the pregnancy of the mother was due to rape, or incest. And a medical inquiry is not required to make or verify that an abortion is necessary in order to save the life of the mother. While we do know that late term abortions are of a higher risk to the life of the mother and continue to be performed.

People have been using analogies to try to impress upon the citizenry that there should not be abortions. Those who use analogies in this issue think that they are adding additional reasons for not using abortions. The horror of government sanctioned murder of babies should not require anything else to convince people that this is wrong.
Any analogy that is used, however imperfect, should not take away from the issue of abortion.

First Michaels, you tell the husband and children of a woman "forced" to carry out a pregnancy, that no federal dollars should be used for abortion. As precious as babies are, the mother is more precious than anything on earth to the children she already has, and it is sinful to deny her that service if it will save her life so she can be a mom to the kids she already has and who need her more than anything else on the planet.

And if personal morality would just keep its damn nose out of public policy and not shame young women who have been raped, then they could just go to the police, tell them and then go to the hospital to be scrubbed or take a morning after pill. And you would impose pregnancy on a child that was raped by a sibling or a relative?

No, not all abortions are necessary. But the ones I have described probably are. Late term abortions are rare:

And the problem would probably be resolved greatly if women, particularly younger women, got much better education about pregnancy and contraception than they are getting now. You cannot be anti-abortion and anti contraception. Next to cutting taxes, increasing military spending and balancing the budget, it is the stupidest idea conservatives have.

Lousy analogies do not help anybody's cause. You also have to understand that pro-choice people do not see abortion as murder. It is a waste of your time to make that argument. Unless you are preaching to the choir, you are wasting your time. You have to understand that many hardliners on the abortion issue are also hardliners on capital punishment and preemptive war and the right to carry a damn gun everywhere you go. Those people make me seriously doubt their sincerity about their feeling for life. I think they just want to punish women unfairly. I will buy it from a sincere Christian like Pope Francis but not from a gunslinger.

But I am glad you agree that women should be given serious stipends to carry pregnancies to term. The baby should either have adoptive parents available to take it or the woman should be looking at a four figure monthly stipend and free health care for herself and her baby if you are sincere. Anything else is just moralistic bloviation.

Dr. Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had two abortions and attempted to get a third one. She has six children. When President Obama spoke at Selma, Alabama she was asked to comment on what the President said. This is what she said:

Margaret Sanger, Founder of Planned Parenthood, said this: "Colored people are like human weeds and are to be exterminated. We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal.We don't want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members."

No one has been able to find the quote. one source was Birth Control 1933. But a thorough look of the contents could find no mention of Sanger:

The closest quotation to the one cited in the meme we could turn up came from an 8 April 1923 New York Times article attributed to Sanger in which she used the word “weeds” in a somewhat similar manner, but didn’t attach it to any particular race or ethnicity:

Finally Snopes cites author John George who wrote about this quote that it
was “evidently concocted in the late 1980s for the purpose of trying to make the early birth control advocate seem a racist and anti-Semite” and that “this fabrication has been kept in circulation by antiabortion and anti-birth control groups.”

You might be interested to know that the late Nat Hentoff, a free speech advocate, was opposed to abortion. He also said that Susan B Anthony and other early feminists were. So evidently both feminists and first generation modern civil rights leaders were opposed to abortion.

I also wish to tell you that this is a special subject. I am opposed to preemptive war, capital punishment and even gun culture. It troubles me when people who claim to be Christian embrace any of these. I am also do not listen to them much on abortion. But I did read your link. And it has excellent merit historically.

How abortion got all balled up the way it has is a direct result of the antipathy that many on the right have towards poverty and the poor, as well as the burgeoning middle class.

Abortion was never meant for eugenic purposes. Margaret Sanger meant it to alleviate the immense suffering of poor women dying in the slums of New York at the turn of the century (1900). They were often merely the sex toys of their abusive husbands who cared neither for them or the off spring they bore other than to carry on the family name and provide the world with one external reminder that they were men.

And these guys suffered too. But it was in this cauldron that modern notion of abortion was born. It was to alleviate the misery of these women and their families. It happened in a context we may not understand. It was not racism or anything like that; it was compassion, a modicum no doubt, to these people that society refused to acknowledge or help provide sustenance for. And often they belonged to minorities and were very poor.

It was not an ideal; it was a necessity because often contraception was as frowned upon as abortion. It created a double bind for people where they were damned if they do and damned if they don't.

I don't know how abortion came to be looked upon as a birth control method. It has been a question that I think about with every court ruling in this country. We started off in congress, July 4th, 1776 with the Declaration of Independence. The subtitle of this document was "The Unanimous Declaration of the Thirteen United States of America.
"We hold these truth's to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. - That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among men,"

The founding fathers understood what our unalienable rights were. They had the right priorities when they knowingly placed the unalienable Right to Life first and foremost. And they knew, that the role of government was to secure this right.

One hundred and Seventy two years later, The United Nations General Assembly validated what the founding fathers declared when they presented and proclaimed their Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
At that time, the United States was one of 50 countries that signed off on this declaration and signified that they were in favor of it.

Article 3 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights:
"Everyone has the right to life, liberty, and security of person"

Today is the National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children

Michaels abortion and contraception have been balled up by people who do not want either to exist. You have an employer that does not want to pay for abortion or for contraception for his employees for his religious beliefs. Now if the employer honestly cared about life and did not want women to terminate unwanted pregnancies then he would provide birth control. And what business is it of an employers if a married woman has sex or if an unmarried woman has sex for that matter? Certainly a married woman having sex with her spouse is not a violation of Christian law or biblical law, and Separation of Church and State extends the right to unmarried people as well.

Seriously, there is so much here. Why does an employer wish to impose his or her moral values on employees? If women and men had access to all the birth control they needed, I believe unwanted pregnancies will go down. And they have dramatically, at least abortion has gone down dramatically, over the last 25 years. The one way to eliminate abortion is if nobody wants to have one. Contraception is the best way to limit unwanted pregnancies because people are not gonna give up doin' the wild thing. So you better get used to that.

It is just as important that men get it because in all reported history there has only been one virgin birth. The rest of them needed a partner. Which begs the question why conservatives whine about single men having to pay for pregnancy insurance. Are conservative men irresponsible sexually or are they just so repulsive they know that insurance does not apply to them? Seriously, ever man needs it because everyone is part of the problem and the solution.

Article 7 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
“All are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law. All are entitled to equal protection against any discrimination in violation of this Declaration and against any incitement to such discrimination.”
Now at this point in the history of our country we still believe in “justice for all”. We still refer to lady Justice and look at the scales of justice she holds with a blindfold over her eyes. The expression that “Justice is blind.,” means that the law is to serve all equally, to be impartial and objective, and not to treat young, or old, rich or poor, male or female, friends or strangers, - differently. This belief, is in complete agreement to Article 7 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. [Which means Leftyg, that contrary to your opinion of Mothers being more important than children, this article declares that “all are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law.” ] And Abortion law is contrary to both our original Declaration of Independence and to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Along with Article 7, Article 9 and 17 reinforce the principle of all being equal before the law and entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law.
Article 17 (2) says:
“No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his property”
While Article 9 says:
“No one shall be subject to arbitrary arrest, detention, or exile.”
The key connection here is the use of the word arbitrary: Abitrary means anything determined as if by personal choice, or whim. (Merriam- Webster)
Our Abortion laws discriminate between the born and the unborn, and between the mother and the father. Women have the sole discretion to choose between life or death of the unborn. They are not obligated by law to abort their pregnancy, thus it is an arbitrary decision left to them. If the father does not want the abortion, but the mother does, the law does not step in as in the form of an injunction to prevent the abortion from happening.

I am sure that the court is interested in the well being of society, but they don't issue an arrest warrant for the delinquent parent's employer. Now why do you think that is Leftyg. Could it be, and I am just taking a wild guess at this, but maybe the law does not recognize nor hold the "employer" as being obligated to pay for the parent's child support? Maybe the law does not hold the employer as being the responsible party because the employer is not the responsible party?

Abortion is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy.
In most instances of Abortion, the only perceived crime in common is the way society characterizes the impact that the pregnancy has upon the mother. This portion of society rationalizes that a life with the baby would be an unfair burden upon the woman. Some have even gone so far as to considering the birth of the baby to be a "criminal act" if allowed to occur. Then somehow the remedy for the woman under these circumstances is to not allow the birth of the baby.
Notice that the baby in each incidence of abortion is not considered to be the victim. The mother has been relegated as the one being the victim. The baby's standing in an abortion is not considered, and this makes the impending death sentence, acceptable.

On April 21, 2003, Scott Peterson was charged with two felony counts of murder with premeditation and special circumstances. On November 12, 2004, Scott Peterson was convicted of first-degree murder in the death of Laci, and second-degree murder for Conner's death. Laci Peterson was eight months pregnant when she went missing.
The following comes from Wikipedia:

Murder is the unlawful killing of another human without justification or valid excuse, especially the unlawful killing of another human being with malice afterthought.
Manslaughter is the crime of killing another human being without malice afterthought, or otherwise in circumstances not amounting to murder. Scott Peterson was charged and then convicted of two counts of murder. There was nothing unclear about the circumstances of his actions from the time he was initially charged through the trial process up to sentencing.

The difference between first-degree murder and second-degree murder is that a first-degree murder is established as an aggravated form of murder, while second-degree murder has it' roots back in English law and is referred to as common law.

In the U.S., the Federal law criminalizes premeditated murder, felony murder and second-degree murder at Title 18 of the United States Code, Section 1111.
While it seems pretty clear cut who is who in a crime; who is the criminal and who is the victim, it is very important to understand the legal definition of victim to avoid misconstruing or overgeneralizing what we are discussing here. Nearly everywhere in the United States, a victim is called a natural person and is essentially someone who was still alive before being murdered. Legally, a person cannot murder somebody who is already dead, a building, a non-human animal, nor can you murder a non-human organism such as a tree or bacteria.

California's murder statute, Penal Code Section 187 was interpreted by their state supreme court (in 1994), as not requiring any proof of the viability of the fetus as a prerequisite to a murder conviction. This holding has two implications that are pertinent to this discussion. First, a defendant in California can be convicted of murder for killing a fetus which the mother herself could have terminated without committing a crime. And the statute re-establishes the biological fact that a fetus is a human being, which is important legally because only a human being can be a victim of a murder.

Again, outside of abortion, the fetus has legal standing under the law and is entitled to full due process of the law.

Our abortion law has given license to a targeted population to arbitrarily take the life of their unborn if they so choose. Last night (Thursday 9/14/17 ) ABC aired a documentary: Truth and Lies: The Murder of Laci Peterson. This was a two-hour presentation that reviewed the case with interviews from the investigation that began back in 2002.

Yesterday, Fox news posted the story of the Police arresting Tyler Tessier and charging him with the murder of Laura Wallens who was four months pregnant. Laura Wallen's body was discovered in a grave in Damascus Maryland. The case is very similar to Laci Peterson.

In the 2016 presidential campaign, Hillary Clinton ignited a firestorm of controversy by stating that “the unborn person does not have constitutional rights.” This is a lie. The "unborn person" does have constitutional rights, they just do not have a legal standing in an abortion. The "unborn person" has their constitutional rights observed and defended in cases like Scott Peterson but have no legal representative defending them in abortion.

Pro-lifers were critical because Clinton acknowledged the personhood of the fetus yet claimed it had no rights; pro-abortionists were critical because she dared to humanize the fetus (shades of NARAL and Doritos!).

In the words of Diana Arellano, community engagement manager for Planned Parenthood of Illinois, “Hillary Clinton further stigmatizes abortion. She calls a fetus an ‘unborn child’ and calls for later term restrictions.” Indeed, “Guidelines issued by the International Planned Parenthood Federation, for instance, discourage the use of terms such as ‘baby,’ ‘dead fetus,’ ‘unborn baby’ and ‘unborn child’ when discussing abortion, instead recommending ‘embryo,’ ‘fetus’ and ‘the pregnancy.’”

At all costs, avoid recognizing the humanity of that child in the womb.

Tennessee Rep. Marsha Blackburn, a strong pro-life advocate who chairs the Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives, rightly stated that “The analytical coldness with which [Clinton] dismissed rights of unborn children reveals a type of hardened core that shocks the conscience.”

Further evidence of this “hardened core that shocks the conscience” is the “Shout Your Abortion” movement, where women are encouraged to get on social media and proclaim without shame, “I had an abortion, and I’m proud of it!”

These women may just as well as have said. "I murdered a human being, and I'm proud of it!"

Actress and activist Martha Plimpton hearts abortion so much that she wishes she could Yelp review her first—the one in Seattle—as her ‘best’ abortion. It was heads and tails above the rest!

Plimpton made the remarks at a June #ShoutYourAbortion (SYA) event headlined by Dr. Willie Parker, currently supplementing his abortion trade with sales from his book “Life’s Work: A Moral Argument for Choice.”

SYA’s You Tube video of the event is just now making waves as conservative media, including Fox News , The Blaze, Live Action News and others spotlight Plimpton’s pandering to the hometown crowd in Seattle, who cheered her on as she, well, shouted her abortions.

And I’m not entirely comfortable with the way pro-lifers are piling on in their comments sections and newsfeeds.

Here’s why.

SYA’s viral social media campaign arose in 2015 to counter the Center for Medical Progress’ undercover videos that presented evidence of the heartbreaking brutality, which not only undergirds Planned Parenthood’s business model, but is also central to every single abortion.

SYA’s effort to paint abortion as a social good would seem to be gaining traction. Their stated mission: “Abortion is normal. Our stories are ours to tell. This is not a debate.” The campaign garnered over 150,000 tweets in the early going, winning positive coverage from The New Yorker, Washington Post, Nightline, New York Times, The Guardian, LA Times, BBC, CNN, Buzzfeed, Bust, NPR, Salon, Huffington Post and Al Jazeera. Ironically, many of these same outlets refused to cover the Center for Medical Progress videos.

Yet, per the Centers for Disease Control projections, approximately 1 million women undergo elective abortions each year, a rate that has held steady for the past 30 years.

That’s millions and millions of women with stories to shout.

And two years on, SYA’s fundraising page, still up at Indiegogo, reports 176 donors gave $15K or 15 percent of its stated $100,000 goal. Over on Twitter where the “movement” started, @ShoutYourAbortion has amassed just 2,300 followers.

Not only are they not shouting, the overwhelming majority of women who have had abortions are nowhere to be heard.

Speaking as a woman who has experienced abortion and who shares others’ stories entrusted to me, here’s what you need to know: whether a woman speaks up or remains unheard, abortion is always a matter of the heart.

As Baylor professor Francis Beckwith says, “Abortion is the intentional killing of an innocent human being, therefore it is morally wrong.”

Yet we live in times when something so deeply wrong is a woman’s legal right.

Given that paradox, abortion either breaks your heart—or it hardens it.

It’s easy to see where Ms. Plimpton falls. And while it would also be easy to dismiss her comments as a caricature of liberated lunacy, her efforts to promote abortion are not only self-defeating but profoundly self-destructive, for we can never willfully and shamelessly harm another without diminishing ourselves.


The science of embryology states without controversy that at conception, the zygote is a distinct, living, whole human being. And it’s our shared human nature that gives each life our value, or there are no equal human rights at all.

In our hearts, we know this to be true.

I hear from women whose hearts are broken over abortion, saying over and over in an endless variety of ways that you can make your choice, but you cannot escape the consequences of your choice. Shame after abortion was, for them, immediate and often overwhelming. But the answer isn’t to try to live down the shame or swing the other extreme to shameless shouting.

Women shirking that shame also lose the ability to see their own bullying, which lies at the heart of abortion. Having bought into the myth of bodily autonomy, they’ve thrown their conscience out with the baby.
And how can you rehab a bully when the rules in place are in their favor? Beyond respect for rules, the most effective interventions involve building conscience and empathy.

So, while a generation of young women gratefully sigh their relief for “compassionate” abortion allies, the positive power of shame, deployed properly, begins the healing journey to peace with God, self and others after abortion.

And, yes, abortion is always a spiritual issue because it is always a matter of life and death. True compassion demands that we defend the lives of the youngest members of the human family, point women to the abundant resources to help with their needs and affirm that it’s possible to live shame-free through spiritual recovery after abortion.

As you ponder your reaction to hearing someone disclose or even shout her abortion, consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to those who continue in his kindness (Romans11:22).

Those of us who oppose abortion are doing well with the sternness piece. But if, in doing so, we can’t also extend grace to match our truth, how will anyone trust our empathy is true?


There is so much that could be discussed from what this one woman has written, but there is no real reason to add anything to this. This woman covered everything that is presently being addressed today. I could add my own personal experience but i do not want to take away from what this woman has said.

Here's a story that is certain to get very little attention in the mainstream media. A teenage girl is currently in federal custody after coming to the country illegally from Mexico. She's 15 weeks pregnant and wants an abortion, but the Trump Administration has refused to facilitate the procedure. In comes the ACLU and an Obama-appointed judge, who, this afternoon, ordered the government to allow the execution of the 15-week-old unborn child.

Let's review here: It is the allegedly bigoted Trump Administration trying to preserve and protect the life of an immigrant baby. It is a leftist judge who wants to have him killed. In fact, the Trump Administration has prevented the deaths of many unborn children by taking girls at federally-funded shelters to pregnancy resource centers rather than abortion clinics.


These are the people who are supposed to hate immigrants and minorities, yet they are the ones trying to stop immigrant and minority babies from being murdered. And, despite how this case may be presented, it's not as though they're holding the girl against her will and forcing her to remain pregnant. They simply told her that if she wants an abortion she must return home to Mexico for it. If she wants to remain in custody, the federal government is not going to play any role in facilitating the abortion of her second trimester baby. She could go home if she wants. She is not being held hostage. But this demented judge has decreed that she has a right to an abortion in our country, and it must be carried out without delay.

Of course, there's more at stake here than human life, although there's nothing else at stake that could be more important than human life. The Justice Department has argued that we cannot give pregnant minors an incentive to cross the border illegally in order to get abortions, which will often be tax funded. And these girls certainly cannot have a "constitutional right" to an abortion in the United States because they are not United States citizens. The best thing, then, is to get them the care that will preserve their own dignity and the dignity of their unborn children.


This is not only the legally and morally correct approach, but it's the only approach you can support if you want to lay claim to the "compassion for immigrant children" banner. If your compassion for immigrant children involves having them dismembered with a pair of sharpened forceps (a D&E abortion, which is the type this child will suffer at his stage of development), then I would suggest that your notion of compassion is rather insane.

I don't know what can be done now to save this innocent child from the awful death that awaits him. The judge, apparently quite eager to have the victim dispatched as quickly as possible, has ordered that the girl must be brought to a clinic for the procedure by October 21. My prayer is that the Trump Administration, in the name of life, sanity, and basic human decency, openly defies this deranged and cruel judge. But whatever happens, the next time the Left accuses the Trump Administration of hating immigrants, remember which side tried to save this baby's life — and which side sent him ultimately to his death.

First JT please delete the comment above by Paul Jack. I think it is a Trojan horse.

Now Michaels, JT is again right; abortion is legal. And no matter how much you or some other anti-choice surrogate argues against abortion, it is the law of the land. And advocates of choice do not view abortion as murder. Most view it as an unpleasant choice a person has to make based on their circumstances. So you are wasting computer space when you call it murder.

Like with everything else the idiot in the White House has tried to politicize this case instead of help this girl get the help she needs. This is just another attempt to gin up his base, the same people who do not think shooting an unarmed black child is murder or who think that a gun toting home owner is within his rights to shoot a 19 year old girl standing at his door asking for help. And it is the same base who wanted to illegally deny entry into this country to certain refugees because of their religion.

Michaels why don't you focus on that? You know focus on people seeking asylum from a horrible situation. That is Christian. Focus on helping this girl rather than harming her so she will not make the decision to get pregnant before she is equipped to be a mother again. Why don't you read Leviticus 19:34 where it says '"The stranger who resides with you shall be to you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt; I am the LORD your God." Why don't you apply that to this girl.

Now a person's rights are based upon that country's Constitution. The government, our government does not have vested interest in the killing of its own citizens as I have clearly shown in previous posts. This seventeen year old is not even a citizen of our country. Our government certainly does not have a vested interest in helping people in other countries kill their own children.

I found the ruling of Judge Chutkan to be a confusing mix of legal contradictions. This judge said that this seventeen year old did not need to have a medial emergency to undergo the abortion as long as she covered the cost of it herself. Now those words by this Judge seem to parrot the Hyde Amendment. But the judge said that her order is limited to this seventeen year old and will expire in 14 days. Now the timeline limitation could be because the law does not allow for abortions after 20 weeks. But the order to limit the ruling to this seventeen year old highlights that this is an exception to the law and this exception is why the Trump administration is taking the steps that it has along with several other states to challenge Judge Chutkan's ruling.

First,I never stated that Abortion was not legal. Christians focus on what the Lord Jesus Christ instructs His people to do. And His people are those who have accepted Him as their Lord and Savior.

My whole point here Michaels is we are supposed to keep church and state separate. I admire many Christian values because they buy into a deep morality. But there are many aspects of Christianity you do not adhere to either. For example. I hardly see Jesus as the gun toting type. As I remember he had quite a spat with Peter in the Garden of Gethsemane when he said "he who lives by the sword, dies by the sword." I have always questioned the bipolar nature of a person who is pro-gun, pro-war, pro-death penalty, but anti-abortion. I admire Pope Francis and other with consistent values and dismiss the bipolar type.

Michaels, believe it or not you gave the exact answer I was looking for. Decency is not derivative of any religion so much as religion derives from decency. So we largely agree. And that is good. I think you know I have serious problems with abortion, but I wold like to eliminate it another way: by women choosing not to have them because they have viable alternatives. Those include birth control (and religion stay out and let the woman's need for contraception, or her significant others, take precedent over the employers; he or she can follow their own conscience and choice when making health care and reproductive choices), sex education, family planning and sexual hygiene to think of a few things. You cannot be against birth control and contraception; it is kind of like training for the Olympics by smoking, drinking and overeating--not much of a prescription for success.

Also we have to keep religion out of it. Part of religious freedom is freedom from religion, and that refers back to the employer who decides for his workers what their health care plans will provide based on his not their belief system. It would be like a Jehovah's Witness who owned a company deciding that his employees could not get blood transfusions because his religion forbade it.

Part of religious freedom is freedom from religion, No it's not. The first amendment states: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise there of;" People have a choice to choose a religion and practice it if they want. The first amendment does not say that it was okay to remove any sign, symbol, or custom ("the free exercise thereof") of a religion. You can join the Wisconsin group of Freedom From Religion, or any other such group that wants no part of any religion, but freedom of Religion (a choice) never meant, and never will mean - freedom from religion.

This statement is also ironic in that you think it identifies a group that you think violates the law. but your statement actually identifies the ACA, - Obamacare. where the Government takes on the role as everyone's employer, and it is the government who decides what their health care plan will provide, based upon Obama and some liberals belief system and not based upon the worker's choice.

"The Supreme Court ruled against state-mandated speech in pro-life pregnancy centers Tuesday. A California law requiring crisis life pregnancy centers (CPC) to promote abortion clinics alongside of their pro-life services was judged unconstitutional in the 5-4 ruling."
The National Institute of Family and Life Advocates (NIFLA) has roughly 135 crisis pregnancy centers as members in the state of California. The Alliance Defending Freedom, who recently represented Jack Phillips in the Masterpiece Cakeshop case, represented NIFLA before the court. SCOTUS took the case in November 2017.

The law required that the CPCs disclose abortion information by either posting a notice in “a conspicuous place where individuals wait that may be easily read by those seeking services from the facility” or by a print/digital notice distributed to the patients. The law also regulated the font size and poster size of the notice. CPCs who failed to comply with the law could face a $500 to $1,000 fine.

Justice Clarence Thomas said in the majority opinion that the case was a matter of free speech, not a matter of doctors withholding information.

“The licensed notice at issue here is not an informed-consent requirement or any other regulation of professional conduct. … In sum, neither California nor the Ninth Circuit has identified a persuasive reason for treating professional speech as a unique category that is exempt from ordinary First Amendment principles,” he wrote.

California Attorney General Xavier Becerra promised to fight the decision in a statement:

Information is power, and all women should have access to the information they need when making personal health care decisions. The Reproductive FACT Act ensures that women in California receive accurate information about their health care options, including whether a facility is a licensed medical provider. The California Department of Justice will do everything necessary to protect women’s health care rights.
Now I am just wondering if the abortion clinics in California have printed out information sheets about the health care options of not having an abortion?

The Alliance Defending Freedom President, CEO, and General Counsel Michael P. Farris argued the case before the Supreme in March. He said that victory reaffirmed that the government cannot force people to express beliefs that run against their conscience.

“In this case, the government used its power to force pro-life pregnancy centers to provide free advertising for abortion,” Farris said. “The Supreme Court said that the government can’t do that, and that it must respect pro-life beliefs.”

Americans United for Life’s President and CEO Catherine Glenn Foster also applauded the ruling.

“Today is a victory for more than just the dedicated volunteers who staff pregnancy care centers; it is also a victory for the thousands of women who go to the centers seeking life-affirming care and support. AUL is encouraged by this ruling, and our legal team will continue to support the excellent work of pregnancy care centers, which provide a broad range of support from practical counseling and training to concrete resources such as diapers, formula, and baby clothes.”


Generally, the Left was very angry about the ruling. To them they just lost advertising revenue, and potential fine revenue, and the publicity from the ruling probably allowed even more women to learn about the crisis pregnancy centers. The comments made by the abortion clinics were predictable and included apocalyptic claims that women were going to die as a result of this ruling. But this was the right ruling. The law did violate free speech. And outside of the legal and constitutional issues, the law did not make sense. To make a law so that opposing businesses are forced to advertise for each other. Can you see Weight Watchers advertising for the local ice cream parlor's? Or Ford advertising for Chevrolet.

Just for the record ZERO taxpayers dollars goes to abortion. The tax payers money that goes to PPH, helps poor women in need. Which is I think a Christian value.

Technically, if you stop funding PPH, they can still do abortions bc that is privately funded.

Thanks for the articles. I didn't know that under a few circumstances under The Hyde Amendment abortions can be performed . Such as the case of incest. If a 12 year old gets pregnant by her dad, I don't think I would feel right forcing her to have that child. Shouldn't be my decision.

But my comment was on PPH, which doesn't receive ANY taxpayers funding for abortions.. Another myth, people think taxpayers money goes directly to PPH, they bill insurance for their services such as medicaid. Which under the law they are not allowed to Bill government agency for abortions.

I am thinking you are pretty upset that the republicans since they wont do anything of significance to stop abortion.

Mrtazeman, are you sure that she is lying? I read the article by Dahlia Lithwick. She talks about a video (there were more than one), and on that video a person describes the scene but doesn't show it. Lithwick then takes that as evidence that she is lying about it. That is a false conclusion arrived upon by Ms. Lithwick. If everything else on the video is talking about harvesting baby parts, and there have been other witnessed accounts of harvesting baby parts, why is Ms. Fiorina accused of lying for reporting what was said on the video? - Answer: this is just a political PR campaign to try and repair the negative impact of being exposed for what they were doing. Did you catch the admitted crime that was mentioned in the video?

I took the time to look at the fact check statements and that was basically a waste of time. To read how they interpreted many of the statements at the GOP debate as false when they could and can be interpreted in another way, demonstrates bias, not fact checking.
I aslo took the time to look at some of the references used in checking Ms. Fiorinas' statements, and they do a good job in defending her by giving her the benefit of the doubt whereas you do not.
I am not going to comment about what Ms. Fiorina saw or says she saw. Ms Lithwick could have been thinking about one video, while Ms Fiorina could have been thinking about another. And that is why it probably wiser not to speculate and comment about it.

When you were wrong about your statement about taxpayer abortions, I did not call you a liar did I. I gave you the benefit of the doubt and said that you were uninformed. But you couldn't or didn't want to do the same here.

[color=#FF0000] Now, I am not an accountant, but if you read the Forbes article I cited it explains billing practices that are done and required and not just for Planned Parenthood. While difficult to prove, the audit of Planned Parenthood's budget shows categories where money is spent. For convenience sake, imagine two columns for spending, column one shows money spent on pencils, ...etc. and at the bottom of the column is the total money spent there. Column two says abortions, and right under that it says money spent = zero.
Okay so far. Now keep in mind that Planned Parenthood is the nation's number one abortion provider. How do you think they got to be number one? Well the Forbes article explains how business use some money from one area to help in other areas ("fungible"). Planned Parenthood gets X amount of federal dollars each year. In their annual budgets, they show that all non-abortion services are paid for and they always have a surplus left over, A large surplus! Now if they can undercut the price that others who provide abortions, by whatever amount, they can attract more women to have abortions in their facilities and eventually they can become the number one provider. But if you undercut the cost somewhere, how do you make up for your loss? Well you could go back to column one, and create a category for cleaning or sterilization services, and then input the amount lost undercutting the cost of the abortion to the cost of "cleaning or sterilization services. Then you can continue to accept money from the women coming into the facility to pay for their abortions and yet you can claim that you did not use federal funds to pay for the abortions. And basically, that is what the Forbes article explains.

I read the Slate article. The point is that Forina could not find the video. But to cut you a break and because tomorrow is is the fourth of July and if I was an alcholic, you would drive me to drinking a fifth! :D I will read the Forbes article.

I read the article in Forbes, but it had nothing to do with Fiorina's statement. It was about the fungibility of abortion funding. That does not get Carly off the hook; they are different things

First of all I walked from the pro-life pew of God's auditorium to respond to what you said here. (Look above this line to what I placed in quotes :) As I already told Mrtazeman " I am not going to comment about what Ms. Fiorina saw or says she saw. Ms Lithwick could have been thinking about one video, while Ms Fiorina could have been thinking about another. And that is why it (is) probably wiser not to speculate and comment about it." But in Ms. Lithwick's opening paragraph, she says: "her fibs about Planned Parenthood are appalling." Two be brief, I have looked at some of what you provided. I can understand some of the confusion here. I have some supportive material but not enough yet. Yes, these two partners were found guilty and agreed to the settlement. Yes, clinics are entitled to "reasonable reimbursement for its tissue donation services." But Planned Parenthood is complicit in the illegal selling of aborted babies and fetal tissues. Orange county used videos and complaint made by Center for Medical Progress to conduct their own investigation and their own investigation corroborated the findings of CMP.

This is what Planned Parenthood is stating that they did. I agree there is a lot of confussion. But for me, if PPH violated any rules i would have to believe that the republicans would have shut PPH down. That video was highly edited. I know plenty of transplant surgeons and all of them are very honorable and have great respect for the donors. This industry is regulated very tightly. u just can't harvest body parts and sell them at flea markets like the people who produced that video wants u to believe.

Mrtazeman, There is confusion here for me in that there are laws that seemingly contradict each other and there are some laws that have not come into play which I do not know why they didn't. This is not a matter of Partisan Politics. As much as some people may believe it is. The California Attorney General and the Orange County Prosecutor / office tried to make that clear in the prosecution of DV Biologics & DaVinci Biosciences

When a abortion is done, the aborted baby is supposed to be treated as Bio hazard waste and disposed as such. That means the remains are put in a Bio-hazard plastic containment bag, sealed, and then placed in a container unit until picked up and transported to a facility that is licensed to dispose of Human waste material. Hospitals are equipped for such disposals.
I do not know how donor or fetal tissue is supposed to be packaged, but I just want to point out what normally occurs after an abortion.
Now, according to the investigation and the video's (that were not overly edited) the conversations point to a lot of extra work in order to get some body parts. That is an important consideration because the old business adage is "Time is Money." The extra effort to procure certain body parts would seem to strain the suggested reason that Planned Parenthood did this freely (except for reasonable compensation) for the purpose of scientific research. Now compared to the normal, minimal preparation for removal that follows most abortions, where no additional money is exchanged, and the entire costs are suggested to come from the cost or price of the abortion, there is the additional funds that are received for the donation (?) of abortion body parts / fetal tissue. Now if the total cost of waste removal is included in the cost of the abortion, then to have someone remove the "waste material " set aside for "donor" or scientific research, AND receive "compensation" for it! Well that seems almost like double dipping. And if you receive any compensation for this, it no longer can be considered donated, or donor tissue. This brings up a question, which may be a legal loophole for Planned Parenthood. What is the legally defined difference between lawful reasonable compensation, and illegal profit?

Another problem I see is laws regarding the desecration of a corpse. What are the legal guidelines to differentiate the desecration of a corpse, and the cutting up of a fetus / and or aborted individual for "donating body parts or fetal tissue?

What are the medical guidelines to use different methods to make an abortion that do not constitute the legal ban of partial - birth abortions?
All three of these questions come into play in the investigation of abortions and the preparation and distribution of fetal tissue for research and academic purposes.

Another problem is the type of consent that Planned Parenthood claims to have from all of of the abortions that they provide. They may only use a blanket consent that spells out that Planned Parenthood is allowed to dispose of the aborted remains in any manner that they deem to be appropriate and/or necessary which precludes further questions or objections from the client.
I do not know the answers to these questions. What I do know is that this practice is being investigated, so these questions will probably be answered if they do not already have legal answers for them at this time.

This article presents a few interesting side issues including exposing the hypocrisy of the Lefts's race -based quota practice.
First there is the headline of the article which stands out for the stunning word picture that it suggests, including the images of Racist's and racism that emanate from discussions of the KKK. It was a group of racist white men who formed a group to target and kill African-Americans. As this article points out in the origin and history of Planned Parenthood; there was not an altruistic impetus to rescue women faced with pregnancy. No. Planned Parenthood Founder Margaret Sanger was a member of the American Eugenics Society. She led the crusade to, in her own words, “prevent the birth of defectives”. Now Sanger found a kindred spirit and was more than a little influenced by Lothrop Stoddard, a eugenicist, klansman, Planned Parenthood Board member and a prolific writer whose words inspired the NAZIS.
Stoddard wrote: “The white race divides into three main sub-species the Nordics, the Alpines, and the Mediterraneans. All three are good stocks, ranking in genetic worth well above the various colored races. It was the "various colored races that were considered "defectives."
Margaret Sanger was also impressed with Eugen Fischer, the NAZI scientist who conducted heinous experiments in 1906-1908 in Germany’s Shark Island holocaust to try to prove that blacks were inferior to whites, was an esteemed colleague of Sanger’s. She included him on her advisory council in her 1927 World Population Conference.

*Note: Fischer’s work, Principles of Human Heredity and Race Hygiene, heavily influenced Hitler’s vile manifesto, Mein Kapf (My Struggle).
From the time Planned Parenthood began through today, abortions are still being done. When Planned Parenthood first began, the focus had been to "prevent the birth of defectives". And the KKK used murder to rid society of people they were opposed to.
Both groups terminated life. And both groups have been linked to racist motivations.

When the "Promise" program was started in Chicago, the stated purpose was to curtail the "school to prison pipeline". It was observed that more minorities were found in the "school to prison pipeline" than other students and President Obama considered this fact alone to be proof that the school disciplinary system was racist. But using numbers alone, an argument could be made that Planned Parenthood today is racist today at any center. And the argument that X Planned Parenthood center can be made whether the number of abortions is measured by the day, by the week, by the month, or by the year. If there were more African American abortions than other abortions, the argument could be made that the center is targeting African Americans as in genocide. If the majority of the abortions for a given period were not for African Americans then the argument for X Planned Parenthood clinic as being racist would be that they are not reaching out to the needs of minorities in the community, that they were more responsive to the needs of others. And if there were an equal number of abortions in X Planned Parenthood Clinic for African Americans and others for a given period of time, then the argument that X Planned Parenthood clinic was racist is because the population of minorities in this country is not equal to the rest of the population, and therefore X clinic is targeting African American women. Seen here then in its totality, the definition of racism by arguing numbers only is and has always been a specious one.
The article does highlight one glaring difference today between the KKK and the Planned Parenthood Clinic abortions. Today the deaths of African Americans at the hands of the KKK is considered murder. The deaths of African American babies at the hands of licensed individuals at Planned Parenthood Clinics are not.

Washington Post columnist Megan McArdle, who is hesitantly pro-choice, she wouldn’t mind seeing Roe go—and urges liberals to just let it go since the decision caused a social rift that cannot be repaired as it stands now. The op-ed ran just before Independence Day:

The decision itself is a poorly reasoned mess. It failed to mount a convincing case that the Constitution contains language that can be read as guaranteeing a woman’s right to abort her pregnancy. Nor have the subsequent courts that amended and extended Roe managed to come up with a constitutional justification; it’s all “emanations and penumbras” and similarly float-y language that did little to convince opponents that Roe v. Wade was a good or necessary ruling. Even many liberal supporters of a constitutional right to abortion have voiced concerns about the way the Burger Court got us there; those critics include Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.


The realization that Roe is bad law that arrived at it's position without a constitutional basis, is the necessary pre-requiste for a successful ruling to overturn it. All challenges brought to the Supreme court necessitate a challenge to the matter brought before it, and not to revisit the original ruling. It is only when the present case merits a review of the original ruling that I believe Roe being overturn is even possible. Of the challenges that I have looked at, most appear to focus on various restrictions to the abortions which Roe does allow for placing certain limits on it. When the challenge facing the Supreme Court is a complete ban of abortion, that challenge is not likely to be upheld because of the ruling made by Roe. It would seem that the only way to overturn Roe would be to point out the legal conundrums that have resulted since Roe which point out that Roe is "bad law" without a constitutional basis to merit it's existence, nor in present terms, its continuance.

After a more than 15-hour long debate, the Argentine senate rejected a bill Thursday that would legalize elective abortion up to the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.
After the decision was announced, president Mauricio Macri commented that he is pleased the country is able to have serious discussions about such issues.
“We’ve shown that we have matured as a society, and that we can debate with the depth and seriousness that all Argentines expected…and democracy won.”

A video posted by the March for Life Twitter account Thursday shows a crowd in Argentina cheering and waving flags as the results of the vote are posted on a screen.
“The moment life won in Argentina,” the tweet reads.

In Argentina, abortion is currently allowed only in cases such as rape and if the woman’s health is at risk. In the United states there is no official number of abortions given per year since some states have stopped reporting their number of abortions to the CDC. This lack of reporting began in 1998. As a result, only estimates are left to use for discussions of health related issues regarding abortion. In 2014, the FBI reported that there were 84,041 legally reported rapes in the United States. There is an estimate that 1.5 abortions are done as a result of rape or incest. In 2014, There were 652, 639 reported abortions according to the CDC. *It is not possible to estimate what the actual numbers are for Argentina.
However, according to official statistics reported by Human Rights Watch and Argentina’s Health Ministry, “over 17 percent of the 245 recorded deaths of pregnant women and girls in 2016 were due to abortion, making it the top cause of maternal mortality in the country.” Again notice what the concern is here, - the deaths of the murderers. NOT THE KILLING OF BABIES.
But Argentine writer Claudia Pineiro wrote Monday that she believes criminalizing abortion is not the answer. But Ms. Pineiro does have the answer and she has decided to share her answer, and her wisdom for the benefit of all of us:

“If we keep prohibiting abortion, it still won’t stop Argentine women from having them. It’s time we legalize and provide a public health framework for a practice that existed, exists and will continue to exist.”
OKay, Let's Stop here and apply this wisdom as a universal principle.

However, Cardinal Mario Poli who is the archbishop of Buenos Aires told church members “It’s not about religious beliefs but about a humanitarian reason.”
“Caring for life is the first human right and the duty of the State,
” he added.In contrast, the National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws (NARAL) tweeted their disapproval of the decision Thursday.
“Experts estimate that Argentinians have over 500,000 illegal abortion procedures every year. Nearly 60,000 people are hospitalized from complications with unsafe abortion — and Argentina’s senators just voted to keep it that way.” In the United States, the number of people hospitalized from complications arising from any type of abortion (legal or illegal) is unknown. And the only number of deaths resulting from abortion in the United States was for the year of 2013, and that was four.
In June, Pope Francis who is originally from Argentina, denounced abortion by saying “Last century, the whole world was scandalized by what the Nazis did to purify the race. Today, we do the same thing but with white gloves,” adding that families should accept children “as God gives them to us.”
Senator Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner who served two terms as Argentina’s president said she had changed her mind about opposing abortion when she saw the women’s rights activists and protestors.
“It was the thousands of young women who went out to the streets who made me change my opinion. To see them criticize the realities of a patriarchal society should force all of us to look at this differently.”

Researching abortion for my new film "Gosnell: The Trial of America's Biggest Serial Killer," I've learned that you can make a living - a "heathy" living selling the body parts of aborted babies. The trade was first revealed in 2015 by David Daleiden’s undercover recordings of Planned Parenthood executives.Daleiden, of the Center For Medical Progress, even recorded one executive seeming to joke about buying a Lamborghini from the proceeds. The tapes created a stir, but media interest faded, particularly after Planned Parenthood commissioned an “independent” analysis by an outside company that called into question the accuracy and reliability of Daleiden’s dossier. The firm that discredited his findings was, at the time, a little-known company called Fusion GPS – who have since proven to have experience creating dossiers of their own of dubious credibility.
I found this to be a startling revelation.

...Undeterred by the conclusions of Fusion GPS’s investigation, the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the Senate Judiciary Committee immediately started their own. The committees were able to subpoena witnesses, records and invoices. The findings of both committees, released separately over the Christmas and new year period in 2016, went mostly unreported, but they uncovered a well-run, mature and massively profitable business selling almost every part of babies to elite hospitals and research institutions across the U.S....

The House investigation found one company that paid Planned Parenthood $55 for a fetus’s brain, then sold it on to a researcher for over $3,000 – that’s a 2,800% profit. The investigators pointed out that this was not an unusual transaction in the baby business....he Senate’s 2016 report that lawyers for the broker Advanced Bioscience Resources, one of many in the field, estimated the company made up to $666,000 per year from tissue sales, about half the company’s income. Last month, the Trump administration canceled government research contracts with the company.

One company sold the skin of a Down Syndrome baby for $325 (readers interested in equality might like to know that a Down Syndrome child’s skin costs the same as a non-Down baby). You can also buy the eyes, legs, arms, liver, thymus, lungs, and brains – even the skeletal remains – of a baby. An abortion might end an unwanted pregnancy, but the baby’s body is very much wanted after the procedure.

As the Alabama Supreme Court upheld the state’s fetal homicide law in a ruling this month, one of the justices said the decision should force the U.S. Supreme Court to revisit its 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling. I would like to believe that this is true. With the Supreme Court now considered a conservative majority for the first time in fifty years, if this is not the case that challenges Roe, there will be others. So many have pointed out the mounting legal conundrums that Roe presents to our society, that it becomes harder and harder for all of us to ignore.

Justice Tom Parker said it is a “logical fallacy” for the government to consider a fetus a life for the purposes of a murder conviction but not when it comes to a woman deciding to end her pregnancy.

Even lawyers within the pro-life community were conflicted on whether that is the kind of challenge the high court would — or even should — take up, but they said the dissonance between abortion jurisprudence and other areas of law, where a fetus is granted many of the attributes of personhood, is becoming tenuous.

“Fetal homicide laws acknowledge what science has already proven: that a unique human life begins at the very moment of fertilization. Abortion laws reject that reality,” said Lila Rose, a prominent pro-life advocate and president of Live Action. But I thought that it was conservative who are charged by the left as being anti-science. Well here the science of when life begins is clear, and from the left, who cannot deny the science of life, change tactics to become casuists and dialectics, to become anything in order to defend their position of pro-abortion, pro-death.

The case in Alabama involved Jessie Livell Phillips, who was convicted of killing his wife when she was eight weeks pregnant. Another Laci Peterson case. Another Tyler Tessier and Laura Wallens. (9/15/17th post) How many more deaths before Roe is rightfully reversed and overturned by the Supreme Court?A jury found him guilty of murder of “two or more persons” by one act, using a 2006 law that defined “person” as including a child in utero. The court sentenced him to death.
He appealed his death sentence, arguing that an unborn child is not a person with independent protections and that he therefore couldn’t be convicted of a double killing. The state Supreme Court rejected his case and upheld his death sentence, citing the state’s interest in protecting the life of both the born and unborn.

Thirty-eight states have laws specifically aimed against violence on pregnant women and their unborn children. Massachusetts’ law dates as far back as 1973, the year of the Roe v. Wade decision. Indiana is the most recent; its law was enacted just this year.

Like other states, Alabama’s 2006 law specifically carves out a woman’s decision to terminate her pregnancy as an exception to fetal protections. Justice Parker called that the “Roe exception.” The "Roe exception" is a sickening travesty whereby a targeted population are allowed to act as judge jury and executioner against the unborn.

“I urge the Supreme Court of the United States to reconsider the Roe exception and to overrule this constitutional aberration. Return the power to the states to fully protect the most vulnerable among us,” he wrote in his concurring opinion. AMEN. and to those who chose not believe in God, I say. AMEN.

Some pro-choice advocates agree that there is an inconsistency but want to go the other way by curtailing laws protecting fetuses. But nothing. How very liberal of these pro-choice advocates to agree that there is an inconsistency in the law here but to maintain their position in spite of the law, to maintain their position regardless of the law.Advocates say the laws don’t protect women against violence The advocates say the laws don't protect women against violence....But the laws, which they defend, allow these women to perpetrate violence against the unborn.and can give states more avenues to interfere with women’s rights.

Lynn Paltrow, executive director of National Advocates for Pregnant Women, cited the cases of a woman who was arrested on attempted-feticide charges after accidentally falling down a stairwell, a woman who served eight years in prison for a stillbirth after a positive test for illegal drugs, and a woman who was arrested after losing her child following a suicide attempt.Yet state laws also have served to give women more of a chance to pursue damages. In the 2012 Alabama ruling, the state Supreme Court said an injured woman could pursue a wrongful death claim for her unborn child.

In that case, Justice Parker again said those sorts of state decisions challenge the underpinnings of Roe.

In a 2013 case, he wrote the court’s opinion allowing the state to use its chemical endangerment statute to prosecute pregnant mothers for endangering their fetuses through drug use. He also wrote a separate opinion to chide Roe again.

In his latest opinion this month, Justice Parker pointed to other cases in which judges have found the unborn can be parties to estate settlements and disputes over trusts, and in which courts have appointed legal guardians for the fetuses to represent their interests in those cases.

At least 23 of the more than 30 states that have the death penalty prohibit pregnant women from being put to death, suspending their sentences until the child is born.

“Today, the only major area in which unborn children are denied legal protection is abortion, and that denial is only because of the dictates of Roe,” Justice Parker argued in 2013.

Americans should applaud the new abortion legislation proposed in states like Virginia and New York. That’s because, in bowing to a progressive agenda, these bills are exposing abortion for what it is: death.

Several states already support abortion up until birth. But only now are Americans causing an uproar over them. That’s because certain politicians appear to not only support and celebrate unrestricted abortion, but also expand it to include newborns. Infanticide. That isn’t something that just concerns the pro-life movement and Republicans. It’s detached from Democrats. It’s out of touch with Americans. It’s atrocious to human beings.


It doesn't sound any different from different authors. And yet it is not surprising. To be intellectually consistent, the latest bills introduced regarding Abortion were going to come. At least the Democrats are being consistent about it. That is they are being consistent in their insistence that women be allowed to decide to kill babies anytime they want to. They have not been consistent, nor honest about all the other statements about abortion that they have made. The lies are so numerous and so well known that I don't feel compelled to repeat them.
Abortion continues and it is increasing. The statements that abortion is declining is based only upon those states that still report the number of abortions they perform.
The evil worsens. It is sickening. From Roe, where a license was granted to women to be allowed to have an abortion. To celebrations on your "FIRST abortion, and celebrating every bill or law ignoring viability to permit an increasing period from which to decide the babies fate.
And now, now we have moved from abortion, to infanticide. Where is Obama? I want to hear him say: "This is not who we are". But Obama can't say that. Actions speak louder than words.
Our actions say that infanticide is indeed who we are. The left railed against waterboarding but demand that we fund killing centers here in our country and outside of our country.
The left want an end to capital punishment, saying that it is cruel,barbaric, and the remnants of an uncivilized society, our past they say. A past that should end.
But not abortion.
No. not abortion. Our country should lead the way they say. We should support women's rights they say. And never think twice about what they are advocating.

I see evidence of Republicans trying to end abortions, so I find you stating that "Republicans aren't going to do anything about abortion to be puzzling. When I searched that statement I found a column by George Pyle in the Salt Lake Tribune. "Sorry Holly. Republicans aren't doing anything to reduce the number of abortions (May 1, 2018)
In this column, Mr. Pyle talks about his coworker Holly, who is a republican and defends Republicans. He applauds her for adopting so many children, which in itself is an alternative to abortion.

According to Google: "A miscarriage is the loss of a fetus before the 20th week of pregnancy. The medical term for a miscarriage is spontaneous abortion, but spontaneous is the key word here because the condition is not an abortion in the common definition of the term.
Spontaneous - performed or occurring as a result of a sudden inner impulse or inclination and without premeditation or external stimulus. synonym - unforced, unsolicited, unplanned, unpremeditated.
A murder suspect is someone suspected of committing murder.
And murder is the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another.

The woman, 21, gave birth at a Nashville hospital in March, 24 weeks into her pregnancy. The baby boy, who was never given a name, lived for less than two hours, dying from blunt force trauma to the head.

In this situation a woman is accused of premeditated actions that show intent to end a pregnancy after the legal time limit of 20 weeks to have an abortion.
"On Friday, the department announced that detectives believe the mother hit herself in the abdominal area and allowed a young relative to sit on her stomach in an effort to end the child's life.

In this case, the woman is at the center of a homicide investigation, which places her as a murder suspect.
Normal medically defined miscarriage is not murder. The premeditated use of force to induce a miscarriage, is murder.

“This evening is sweet,” Cuomo exclaimed before enraptured liberal supporters, “because we won!” Cuomo even ordered the spire atop One World Trade Center to be lit pink to celebrate. A place built to remember the thousands of innocent lives lost on 9/11 became a monument to the slaughter of thousands of innocent babies.

I can't imagine what lies in the heart of someone who cheers for more abortions. I can't imagine feeling "sweet" over authorizing doctors (and even nondoctors, in the case of New York's law) to terminate babies


But there was cheering — sweet, sweet cheering — this week for a 2017 speech made by a man named Frank Stephens. His congressional testimony recirculated on social media at a time when our nation needs a reminder that all life is precious.

"I am a man with Down syndrome, and my life is worth living," Stephens said. "Politicians change laws; I want to change people’s hearts." Stephens added: "Is there really no place for us in the world?"

The final vote was 53-44 to end Democratic delaying tactics -- seven votes short of the 60 needed.

Three Republicans did not vote, apparently because of scheduling issues and plane flight delays -- including Kevin Cramer of North Dakota, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Tim Scott of South Carolina.

The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act would have required that "any health care practitioner present" at the time of a birth "exercise the same degree of professional skill, care, and diligence to preserve the life and health of the child as a reasonably diligent and conscientious health care practitioner would render to any other child born alive at the same gestational age."

Senate Democrats just voted against legislation to prevent the killing of newborn infant children. The Democrat position on abortion is now so extreme that they don’t mind executing babies AFTER birth....

The bill, which exempted the mother involved in the birth from prosecution, also would have required practitioners to "ensure that the child born alive is immediately transported and admitted to a hospital." It prescribed a possible term of imprisonment of up to five years for violations, not including penalties for first-degree murder that could have applied.

In response, President Trump tweeted late Monday that "This will be remembered as one of the most shocking votes in the history of Congress."

Sasse attempted to pass the new bill by unanimous consent earlier this month but was blocked. Unanimous consent requires all 100 senators to agree, and Sen. This legislation was not unnecessary, and it was not a political stunt.

The legislation was introduced after Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam, a Democrat, endorsed post-birth abortions while discussing The Repeal Act, a state bill which sought to repeal restrictions on third-trimester abortions. Virginia Democratic Del. Kathy Tran, a sponsor of that bill, was asked at a hearing if a woman about to give birth and dilating could still request an abortion.

"My bill would allow that, yes,” Tran said. Northam, in a later interview with a radio station, backed up Tran.
"When we talk about third-trimester abortions, these are done with the consent of, obviously, the mother, with the consent of the physicians, more than one physician, by the way," Northam said. "And, it's done in cases where there may be severe deformities, there may be a fetus that's non-viable."

Northam continued: "So, in this particular example, if a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen. The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that's what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother. So, I think this was really blown out of proportion."

The Trump administration has taken another critically important step in strengthening the moral health of our nation, and hence our future.

The Department of Health and Human Services has issued the Protect Life Rule, stopping the flow of Title X federal funds to family planning clinics that perform abortions or do abortion referrals.

It also requires that clinics receiving Title X funds be "physically and financially" separate from any entity providing abortions.

This puts a stop to organizations like Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider, from claiming that, although they perform abortions, Title X funds they receive are used for other purposes.

Estimates are that this rule will reduce federal funding flowing to Planned Parenthood by some $60 million.

The Title X program was enacted in 1970, as part of the Public Health Service Act, to provide family planning assistance, primarily to low-income families.

In 2018, $286,479,000 was appropriated to this program.

Rep. Chris Smith, R-N.J., chairman of the Congressional Pro-Life Caucus, notes that Title X funds were "never" meant to fund abortions services. Given that the program was enacted three years before abortion was legalized nationwide as result of Roe v. Wade, his case is convincing.

A Planned Parenthood spokesperson attacked this rule-making, saying that "the Trump-Pence administration has aggressively targeted the ... rights and bodily autonomy of people of color." ...taxpayer funds are channeled by the federal government to abortion providers. According to the most recent Gallup polling, 75 percent of those who attend church weekly and 56 percent of those that attend church monthly are "pro-life."

Their reverence for the sanctity of life flows directly from their faith.

It is inconceivable that an American citizen who believes and understands that abortion is the destruction of human life should be forced to fund, with their tax dollars, those who perform it.

Although it is currently legal for women to have abortions for whatever reason they want, it is repugnant to think that as a nation we would provide further moral authority for abortion by allowing federal funds to support it.

The loss of reverence for the sanctity of life, and the culture of meaninglessness that it fosters, comes at a great price for our nation's soul.

....According to research of John D. Mueller of the Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington, "legal abortion is the main cause of family breakdown, including specifically in the rise of rates of divorce, illegitimacy, and crime."

Thus, this new rule-making strikes at the heart of what is wreaking havoc in urban America. It is sadly ironic that those on the left, who favor abortion and hence the social destruction it cultivates, label the Trump administration racist.

According to Gallup, sentiment is rising against abortion. When Gallup first surveyed the issue in 1995, 56 percent were "pro-choice" and 33 percent "pro-life." Today, it's even at 48 percent for both.

The fight against legal abortion on demand will continue. But for sure, taxpayer funds should not be going to abortion providers, particularly not to corporate giants like Planned Parenthood.

This rule has been long overdue.

[color=#FF0000] A women decides to have an abortion. She goes to an abortion provider. She has the abortion. The baby survives the abortion. Now what? Well the woman has signed an agreement with the the provider giving the provider the right to "dispose of the remains" as they deem appropriate.
But here there are no remains because the baby is still alive. Well there are Safe Haven Laws. The baby could be dropped off at a hospital basically no questions asked, no criminalization for her actions. But maybe someone will see her doing this. And besides, she did sign that medical release with the abortion provider. But now that there is the "Protect life rule" and the abortion provider is now not receiving Title X funds, now Ithey must wait for this birth to die so that they can sell it for parts. And now because the Born Alive Protection Act did not pass, they can still do that.

Media Claim Abortion Survivors Don’t Exist: ‘There Are No Survivors’

The media race to promote the stories of women who have had abortions. But when women who survived abortions as babies speak up, the media insist they don’t exist.

On Monday, 42 Democratic and two independent senators voted against the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. Sponsored by Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE), the legislation aimed to “prohibit a health care practitioner from failing to exercise the proper degree of care in the case of a child who survives an abortion or attempted abortion.” In the vote’s aftermath, media outlets bashed the bill by claiming, among other things, that abortion survivors don’t exist.

“There is no such thing as an ‘abortion survivor,’” one Quartz headline announced on Feb. 25. Inside, reporter Annalisa Merelli accused the legislation of “peddl[ing] the false narrative that abortions happening later in pregnancies could result in live babies left to die by physicians who fail to provide care.”

She added that an “abortion is performed with the intention of ending a pregnancy, so there are no survivors.”

Other outlets and media writers chimed in.

For a Feb. 26 headline, Vox surrounded the term “abortion survivors” with quotation marks. Bustle writer Caitlin Cruz, on Feb. 25, reported on the “bill for so-called ‘abortion survivors.’”

On Twitter, Politico health reporter Alice Miranda Ollstein likewise noted the “bill mandating medical care for ‘abortion survivors’” on Feb. 25 and refrained from using the term in her story. Thor Benson, who writes for outlets including the Daily Beast, added on Feb. 26 that “There's no such thing as an ‘abortion survivor.’"

“Ok I will write on the fake news of ‘abortion survivors,” Jennifer Gunter, an Ob-Gyn who has been published by the New York Times, decided on Feb. 27.

The only problem is, they aren’t fake. Abortion survivors are real and they have a voice.

Melanie Israel, a research associate at the Heritage Foundation, reported that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention discovered that from 2003 through 2014 there were at least “143 cases of infants surviving abortion.” Israel also listed states, like Florida, which found 17 cases in just one year.
Registered nurses, like Jill Stanek, the Susan B. Anthony List national campaign chair, have testified before congressional committees about watching babies left to die. Stanek shared one of her own experiences as an Illinois nurse before a House committee in 2000:


“One night, a nursing co-worker was taking an aborted Down's syndrome baby who was born alive to our Soiled Utility Room because his parents did not want to hold him and she did not have time to hold him. I could not bear the thought of this suffering child dying alone in a Soiled Utility Room, so I cradled and rocked him for the 45 minutes that he lived. He was about 22 weeks old, weighed about a half a pound, and was about 10 inches long, about the size of my hand. He was too weak to move very much, expending any energy that he had trying to breathe. Toward the end of his life he was so quiet that I couldn't tell if he was still alive unless I held him up to the light to see if his little heart was still beating through his chest wall.”

There are also the stories of abortion survivors that lived.

As recently as February, one abortion survivor’s story, told in a video released by the nonprofit Special Books by Special Kids, went viral with millions of views. In the interview, the mother of the abortion survivor said she obtained an abortion, but found out a month later that she was still pregnant. Her daughter, Carrie Fisher, struggles with disabilities – but she has forgiven her mother and, today, is happily married.
“I wouldn’t want guilt on anyone,” Fisher said. “I’ve accepted the things she did and she accepts the things I do, and we just love each other.”

Two of the most well-known abortion survivors, who have both testified before Congressional members, are Melissa Ohden and Gianna Jessen. Both of them survived attempted saline abortions.

"This method of abortion burns the baby inside and out, blinding and suffocating the child, who is then born dead usually within 24 hours. This is what I survived,” Jessen told the House Judiciary Committee in 2015. “Instead of dying, after 18 hours of being burned in my mother's womb, I was delivered alive."

In a 2016 interview, Jessen recognized the media’s reluctance to share her story.

“They just try to ignore me,” Jessen stressed of the media. “Because I don’t think they can really say anything to me – so their strategy has been, ‘We’re just gonna not talk to her pretty much at all.”

Jessen smiled and continued, “But I still get around.”

Why should anyone be surprised at the left's careening into extremism on abortion? Leftists' position has always been morally bankrupt and deceitful.

I am old enough to remember when Barack Obama, in the 2008 presidential campaign, vehemently denied that he had supported infanticide while in the Illinois Senate. Fact-checkers and other Obama defenders came out of the woodwork to defend Obama's moral integrity. What were those facts?

Well, in 2001, Obama voted against Illinois' Born-Alive Infants Protection Act in committee, which would have required immediate medical care for any child born as a result of a failed abortion. He even gave a floor speech opposing the bill. But he voted "present" on the actual bill once it passed out of committee. The Illinois Senate passed the bill, but the Illinois House killed it. In 2002, Obama not only voted against the bill in committee and spoke against it on the Illinois Senate floor but also voted "no" on the bill. In 2003, Obama voted against another version of the bill. During the 2008 presidential campaign, Obama ran from this record and even accused Republicans of lying about it. Only after substantial blowback was he forced to issue a statement acknowledging he had earlier misstated his position on the bill.

But that was more than a decade ago -- at a time when the national Democratic Party still pretended to have scruples. It was obviously scared to death that widespread knowledge of Obama's heinous opposition to the bill would be tantamount to political suicide.

But now, 11 years later, we've seen Democrats in New York *shortly after the loss of 25,000 jobs and having Amazon set up a headquarters in their city, But I am sure that the thought of allowing later term abortions than neighboring states never crossed their mind as a marketing factor to procure revenue for their state. I am sure that they were just concerned in the "Reproductive health of the woman".easily pass a bill legalizing abortion at any time within 24 weeks of the start of a pregnancy and at any time when an abortion is necessary to protect a woman's life or health. Expanding the previous law to permit abortion at any time to protect the woman's health -- liberally defined -- effectively means sanctioning abortion up to the point of birth. Democrats in Virginia one-upped their craven New York comrades by introducing legislation that would permit not only the outsourcing of second-trimester abortions to non-doctors but also abortion during the mother's labor or, according to disgraced Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam, even after the birth of the baby, in some cases.
When harshly criticized for these bills -- and, in the case of New York, for jubilantly celebrating the legislation's passage -- Democrats denied they go as far as they do. In any event, Democrats nationwide have claimed that such extremism doesn't represent the party's position. They apparently didn't expect the public backlash that they received.

Despite their denials and backpedaling, Democrats in the U.S. Senate, when given a chance to repudiate this extremism and demonstrate they are not in fact the party of death, brazenly showed that indeed they are.
Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., sponsored the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act to "prohibit a health care practitioner from failing to exercise the proper degree of care in the case of a child who survives an abortion or attempted abortion." The bill needed 60 votes to overcome the Democrats' opposition but got only 53 votes, with all Democrats but four voting against the measure. The mainstream of the Democratic Party, then, is now on record supporting infanticide under these circumstances.

Again, Democrats are scrambling to justify their votes, and again they're denying their moral depravity in this process by misrepresenting the substance of the bill. Democrats claimed the bill was vindictively targeted at women and doctors to punish them and deprive them of their proper role in "reproductive health care." Others claimed the scenario contemplated by the bill rarely occurs. Still others denied that the bill would have had any effect at all, seeing as it purported to illegalize something already illegal.

They can dissemble to their hearts' content, but Sasse's bill was as straightforward as it could have been. It sought to require doctors to exercise proper care to save a baby if it survived a botched abortion. Who but the most dark-hearted human being could oppose such a bill, even an arguably redundant one? Who would allow themselves to go on record obstructing such a bill, even if they did consider the motivation of the sponsor to be to expose the hypocrisy of pro-choice women and doctors, which, by the way, is an absurd claim? How would you like to explain to your children and grandchildren that you refused to exercise your duly elected power to protect the most innocent of God's created beings -- not unborn babies, not zygotes, not clumps of cells but already born babies?
Democrats have (always)been dishonest about the abortion issue for decades by invoking numerous euphemisms and other distortions to conceal the horror of their positions, such as "choice," Which always meant the choice of the mother, never considered the interests of the father, and never considered the baby. Emboldened by their majority status in the House and their arrogant perception that they have wounded Trump and thus the Republican Party, Democrats are flexing their muscles and showing us just who they are -- or who they have to be to mollify their extremist base and remain eligible for blood money contributions from their most notorious donor, Planned Parenthood. They'll still play games when challenged and do their best to mask and sanitize their indefensible position, but the jig is up, as they have exposed themselves to the world, for which I thank them.

The lawyer of the Alabama man suing an abortion clinic for terminating the life of his unborn child against his wishes, says he wants anyone associated with the abortion to pay up.

"We are suing the clinic, the manufacturer of the pill, going after the doctor and going after any professional organization the doctor is affiliated with," attorney Brent Helms told Fox News on Thursday, adding that "if they are all held liable, it would put a dent on the profitability of abortions."
On Tuesday, an Alabama county court recognized the aborted fetus, "Baby Roe," as a plaintiff in the lawsuit, making the case one of the first of its kind.
The truth is, no one has ever done this," Helms said. "The question is, why not?"

Helms' client Ryan Magers, 21, of Madison County, claims his girlfriend got a medicated abortion at the Alabama Women's Center for Reproductive Alternatives in Huntsville in February 2017 when she was six weeks pregnant.

Magers, who was 19 years old at the time, had pleaded with his girlfriend, who was16, not to get the abortion. She did so anyway, Helms said.
"A woman can go and she can have an abortion of convenience but there's nothing that protects the father," Helms said.

He added that although the pregnancy was an accident, Magers, "owned up to it" and eventually warmed to the idea of parenthood.

"He got excited about being dad" Helms said. "He started working double shifts..."

Helms, who is seeking monetary damages and a jury trial, says the ultimate goal is to increase the rights of would-be fathers and strip protections in place for women who are seeking abortions in Alabama.

"I'm here for the men who actually want to have their baby," he said. "I believe every child from conception is a baby and deserves to live."

An anti-abortion “heartbeat” bill was reportedly approved by a Georgia House committee by a close margin on Wednesday, inching it closer to a vote before the full chamber.

The debated piece of legislation was approved by the House Health and Human Services Committee,17-14, according to The Associated Press. All those in favor of the measure were Republicans, while all those opposed were Democrats.
The full House was expected to cast their votes on the bill Thursday night, according to The Atlanta-Journal Constitution.

The bill, if fully passed, would prohibit abortions once a fetal heartbeat is identified, The Associated Press reported. This runs in contrast to what is currently legal in the state, which allows for abortions for women up to 20 weeks pregnant. A heartbeat is generally detectable by medical professionals at around 6 weeks.
"We know life begins at conception. I think that's worthy of full legal protection," Rep. Ed Setzler, who sponsored the bill, said. "Certainly we can come together and recognize if there's a human heartbeat, that child's worthy of protection."

Gov. Brian Kemp advocated for the bill, telling the Constitution that signing a tough abortion bill was among his campaign promises “and this is the toughest one we’ve got in the Legislature now.”

The legislation does recognize some exceptions, including if the pregnancy puts the mother’s life at risk, or in instances of rape and incest, The Associated Press said. In the latter cases, however, the woman would reportedly need to file a police report. Finally, Accountability.
You can't be a victim if there is no crime. If you claim that you are seeking an abortion for being rape or incest, then their should be a paper trail to prove it. And if your claiming that the abortion is needed because the pregnancy has put the mother's life at risk, then that should be independently verified by board certified doctors not associated with the abortion provider.

A federal appeals court upheld the constitutionality of Ohio’s decision to defund Planned Parenthood Tuesday. The 2016 law bars state funding to any healthcare organization that performs or promotes abortions. Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider, had sued over the law claiming that it violated their First and Fourteenth Amendment rights. /which was a lie even as they uttered it.

The 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 11-6 Tuesday to overturn a previous decision by a three-judge panel in the same appeals court that said the law was unconstitutional. During his time as the state’s attorney general last year, now-Gov. Mike DeWine (R) requested that the case be heard by the full court of appeals.

Circuit Judge Jeffrey Sutton wrote for the majority that while the law does place a condition on government funding, that condition is not unconstitutional.

“Private organizations do not have a constitutional right to obtain governmental funding to support their activities,” he argued. “The state also may choose not to subsidize constitutionally protected activities. Just as it has no obligation to provide a platform for an individual’s free speech, say a Speaker’s Corner in downtown Columbus, it has no obligation to pay for a woman’s abortion. Case after case establishes that a government may refuse to subsidize abortion services.”

“The affiliates are correct that the Ohio law imposes a condition on the continued receipt of state funds,” he added. “But that condition does not violate the Constitution because the affiliates do not have a due process right to perform abortions.”

Sutton also pointed out that Planned Parenthood has not demonstrated that the law would have an impact on a woman’s accessibility to public health programs and on the state’s abortion clinics.

“It makes these programs available to every woman, whether she seeks an abortion or not,” he wrote. “Nor, on this record, has there been any showing that the Ohio law will limit the number of clinics that offer abortions in the state.”

He added that Planned Parenthood had yet to demonstrate that the law would place an “undue burden” on abortion access.

“Its vow to keep performing abortions sinks any pre-enforcement action, and any speculation about what would happen if it changed its mind is just that,” he wrote.

Judge Helene White wrote in her dissent that the law “would result in an undue burden on a woman’s right to obtain non-therapeutic abortions if imposed directly.”
What is an "non-therapeutic abortion" you ask? It is not an abortion that is necessary to protect the life, health, nor safety of the mother.

She also argued that the majority “creates a loophole that enables states to circumvent the unconstitutional-conditions doctrine: the government cannot leverage its funding to carve away at constitutional rights by passing laws that target the individual who holds the right, but it can leverage funding to achieve that same result so long as it manages to find a proxy target instead.” And what is the proxy target here?
Pro-life advocates welcomed the decision, including Catherine Glenn Foster, president of Americans United for Life.

Unplanned: The Movie

Yesterday I saw this movie. I am not going to review Unplanned as a movie. I saw it. It was my way of supporting Pro-Life. Although I had known about Abbey Johnson prior to this movie, the visual impact that comes through the screen as she narrates this part of her life goes beyond the words. I gained insight into Ms. Johnson, abortions, and Planned Parenthood that were surprising, and necessary. Many will find a new meaning to what is unpredictable. Please. Go see this movie.

Rep. Tony Tinderholt, a Republican state legislator who introduced the bill, says it would make people “consider the repercussions” of having sex.

“My bill simply accomplishes one goal,” Tinderholt said in a statement to media on Wednesday. “It brings equal treatment for unborn human beings under the law.”

Google is the latest tech giant to be accused of bias against the newly released pro-life film “Unplanned,” with the search engine listing the movie as “propaganda.”

“Unplanned” is the story of a Planned Parenthood clinic director who becomes an anti-abortion activist. he Daily Signal’s Kelsey Bolar noted Thursday that Google classifies “Unplanned” as a “drama/propaganda.”

“Who knew that ‘propaganda’ was a movie genre? Google once again exposing its gross political bias,” Bolar tweeted a screenshot of search results, which have been verified by Fox News. Another Twitter user compared the search results of “Unplanned” with those of left-leaning films like the Dick Cheney biopic “Vice” and the documentaries of Michael Moore. None of them were considered “propaganda” by Google. Fox News also researched the Google results of the “God’s Not Dead” film series and documentaries made by conservative filmmaker Dinesh D'Souza. None of those films were labeled “propaganda" either.

A Google spokesperson explained to Fox News that its "Knowledge Graph" analyzed web content on "Unplanned" and that a large volume of it described the film as propaganda and placed the label without a universal consensus.

"When we're made aware of disputed facts in our Knowledge Graph, we work to fix the issues, as we’ve done in this case," the spokesperson told Fox News. Okay, we will see.Google has updated the search results so that "propaganda" no longer appears as the genre. In March, supporters of "Unplanned" accused Twitter of unfair treatment after that social media platform blocked the film’s account and, critics say, suppressed the film’s number of followers.

We Need More Honesty on Medication Abortion

On some fronts, we have to start with just basic honesty. Women are being lied to at Planned Parenthood, and from most sites in the major media markets. And where there is no second voice, where there is no debate on any of the issues that women must contend with in regards to abortion; the media focuses on pro-choice activism and ignore pro-lifers

Late in March, Unplanned, the story of how former Planned Parenthood clinic director, Abby Johnson, became pro-life, hit theaters.

One of the abortions shown, which was one of Johnson’s two abortions, is medication abortion. Johnson forks over the cash and is given Mifeprex pills which starves the child of nutrients, causing death in the womb, and then a day later takes Misoprostol to complete the abortion and expel the child.

Readers may find this “Abortion Procedures: Pills” video explanation helpful, as given by Dr. Anthony Levatino, who used to perform abortions.

As Johnson was told by Planned Parenthood, her bleeding to expel her dead unborn child will be like “a heavy period.” Planned Parenthood’s website describes the procedure similarly.

What Johnson experienced, what other women experience from medication abortion is anything but the piece of cake the abortion industry bills it to be. In the film, Johnson is seen with blood dripping down her legs, passing blood clots, and vomiting into the toilet.

Johnson writes about her medication abortion procedure in an excerpt from The Walls Are Talking: Former Abortion Clinic Workers Tell Their Stories. She talks of being “blindsided by a pain in my abdomen like nothing I had ever experienced before or since. Then came the blood in a proverbial tidal wave.” Then, there’s the talk of how “the rush of blood was terrifying and unrelenting.” Even Johnson thought she “was bleeding out” and that “this was the way I was going to die.”

And yet this is not what Johnson was told by Planned Parenthood would happen. Just as the abortion giant hasn’t and doesn’t tell other women what exactly goes into an abortion method which is instead sold as something that can be taken “wherever is comfortable for you.” Yes, Planned Parenthood actually uses that word.

Johnson tells of how the clinic worker told her her symptoms were “not abnormal.” It was a full eight weeks, however, before she was free from the symptoms of blood clots, cramps, and nausea.

The use of medication abortion has increased, as noted by the Guttmacher Institute. Perhaps it’s because Planned Parenthood is not honest or forthcoming about what, exactly, goes into this harrowing method which literally involves weeks of pain and suffering. If women do continue to undergo this method, they should at least do so knowing exactly what it entails. No wonder Johnson describes feeling “betrayed.” More women are likely to use that method since a generic version has been approved by the FDA. It is noteworthy how Johnson shares her supervisors weren’t upfront with women because they “don’t want to scare them.” She continued:

After all, isn’t the abortion spin machine constantly going on about how they “trust women”? Women have died from medication abortion. Thousands of women, myself included, have suffered serious complications. If they truly trusted women, wouldn’t they do everything in their power to provide them with all the facts needed to make the right choice? Didn’t they think that women were intelligent enough to make decisions regarding their bodies if they were presented with all the facts? Where was the female empowerment that I’d heard so much about at abortion-advocate rallies?

Such is why informed consent laws are so important. And yet, surprise surprise, Planned Parenthood opposes them. Not only do these laws educate women, but they might also dissuade women from undergoing what can be quite a risky procedure.


Johnson is not the only woman who had such a hellish experience with medication abortion, far from it. Women have even died, which mainstream media outlets, like NPR, have reported on. As of December 31, 2018, the amount of reported deaths is at 24 women.

It is crucial for women to receive follow-up care, though many do not.

Around 5 to 8 percent of women may need a surgical procedure to complete the abortion. According to studies, the failure rate for when taken in the 10th week of pregnancy can range from 7.3 percent to 10 percent.

Planned Parenthood dispenses many of their medication abortions through telemedicine abortion. It is paramount for women to be examined, however, to ensure that she is not more than 10 weeks pregnant, which is when the method is approved until. It is also necessary to ensure that the unborn child is in the uterus and not developing in the fallopian tubes. Medication abortion has been in the news for a variety of reasons since its existence. From the involved deaths to telemedicine concerns, and now because an unapproved version is finding its way online from AidAccess and Rablon. The FDA has sent warning letters to such providers.

There are already concerns from medication abortion being offered via telemedicine without any kind of an ultrasound exam. To purchase medication, which can be very dangerous if not used completely correctly, makes the process even more dangerous. And yet media outlets such as Vox, Jezebel, Rewire, and CNN have rushed to defend these online suppliers putting women’s health and lives at risk. Now knowing more about medication abortion ask yourself if this is something women should be purchasing from online, off label, and not FDA approved.

There is some much needed hopeful news, however. While abortion advocates also fight making information about abortion pill reversal available, since Unplanned, the Abortion Pill Rescue Network is seeing an increase in calls about the process.

Just take a look at the latest lies of the Democrats suffering from Trump derangement Syndrome.
Caroline Orr, an associate editor of ArcDigital, tweeted "Holy hell. Trump just told the crowd at his Wisconsin rally that after women give birth, the baby is 'wrapped in a blanket' and then 'the mother and the doctor decide whether to execute the baby.'"

This set off a media firestorm, replete with the usual characters accusing President Trump of spreading lies. CNN ran an article titled, "Trump offers incendiary falsehood on abortion at Wisconsin rally." Mother Jones wrote an article titled, "Trump Has a New Go-To Lie About Abortion, and It’s Horrific." The list from the media wrongfully slamming Trump could go on, and on. As for politicians, there is plenty of content there, too, but here is what Rep. Ilhan Omar had to say. She argued that President Trump would encourage violence with his words.

Let's stop here for a second. President Trump is correct. As reported by Townhall yesterday, Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers' promised to veto legislation that would place further guarantees that a baby born alive during a botched abortion could not be killed. Gov. Evers said he believes there is already legislation that exists which would protect the baby.

Meanwhile in Wisconsin, such legislation has not even come across Governor Tony Evers’ desk, though he has already vowed to veto it. Similarly to Governor Cooper, Governor Evers does not believe in the necessity of such a bill.

Now, here is the portion of the quote where most Democrats are having trouble. For whatever reason, they do not understand that President Trump is accurately attributing the following paraphrase to Gov. Ralph Northam. (we will look at Gov. Northam's quote shortly). "The baby is born, the mother meets with the doctor, they take care of the baby, they wrap the baby beautifully, and then the doctor and the mother determine whether or not they will execute the baby. I don't think so. Incredible, no, It's incredible. Until this crazy man in Virginia said it, nobody even thought of that right? They didn't, wouldn't even think of that. Yeah late term, but this is where the baby is actually born and came out. It's there, it's wrapped and that's it so to protect us in life I called in Congress to immediately pass legislation prohibiting the extreme late-term abortion."

Wow. Pretty outrageous stuff from President Trump, right? Well, all the president is doing is relaying Gov. Northam's position. Earlier this year, radio host Julie Carey asked Gov. Northam about Democratic Fairfax County Delegate Kathy Tran's legislation proposing to make late-term abortion legal. Carey said Tran "was pressed by a Republican delegate about whether her bill would permit an abortion even as a woman is, essentially, dilating, ready to give birth. And she answered that it would permit an abortion at that stage of labor. Do you support her measure?"

Here is Northam's full response:

"You know, I wasn’t there, Julie, and I certainly can’t speak for Delegate Tran, but I would tell you — one, the first thing I would say is this is why decisions such as this should be made by [healthcare] providers, physicians, and the mothers and fathers that are involved. There are — you know when we talk about third-trimester abortions, these are done with the consent of, obviously, the mother, with the consent of the physicians, more than one physician by the way. And it’s done in cases where there may be severe deformities, there may be a fetus that’s non-viable. So in this particular example, if a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen. The truth is that a fetus is the only life these people care about.

I think I have been very clear that I do not like abortion, but until I am prepared to raise all these kids, I defer to women on this issue because, as history shows they get stuck with the tab.

And the truth is that in any other area our friend Michaels supports killing. He is pro-second amendment and thinks that police who kill unarmed children are fine. Hey Mr. Statistics, I did answer Mrtazeman/Reals question. The link is now working. I differentiated medical miscarriage from a criminal act. The law is the law. Isn't that what progressives preach about Roe vs Wade. Certain states have laws protecting the unborn outside of an abortion. If the situation looks suspicious, then it is investigated. Leave it to the hospitals to decide that and let them as they already do, make the call to the police if they feel the situation should be investigated. And Mr. Statistics, your preaching against anecdote's yet you have no problem sharing personal anecdotes? The bottom line that your demonstrating is if somebody does not like you or what your doing their wrong and then you proceed to express your anger towards them because they dont like you or what you do. But because people are free here to make their own choices of what they want to do does not give them the right to decide what others are supposed to think, or like, or do.

Remember, I am pro-life. You defend abortion. i am not throwing gay people off of buildings. I am not stoning gay people.
I am also not making a choice of one life over another. But you seem to feel that its okay to allow women to make that choice. You know that not all miscarriages are by medical definition a medical event. What is wrong with a hospital in making that determination? Doctors already make determinations on the bruises they see because not all bruises are by accident.

Since you only seem interested in what happens to gay people: Gay people buying a cake, Gay people going into a Hardware store, Gay people at a Pizza restaurant, Gay people renting an apartment, Gay people getting stoned. What about a gay couple lets say Bob and Ted, going to a Lesbian couple Carol and Alice, and one is seeking to have and raise a baby. What if Carol or Alice agree to help and one gets pregnant, and then at some point change their mind and decide they want an abortion? From your perspective is that alright? Is it okay if a Gay couple want to kill a gay baby, but stoning gays by whoever is wrong? So far from your keen intellect, you have declared laws limiting abortion (laws limiting the killing of babies) as barbaric. I think you would say stoning gay people is barbaric, but is aborting a gay baby barbaric? Is a law that limits abortion that would also limit gay couples having an abortion, is that barbaric. What if there were laws in those countries that stone gay people or throw them off the buildings, limiting the throwing of gay people off of buildings by age?

Even without Parson’s signature, however, the bill will become law on Aug. 28 if the state House passes the legislation, state law dictates.

The only exemption in the law is for a medical emergency. If doctors violate the eight-week cutoff, doctors could face between five and 15 years in prison, but women who seek abortions would not be prosecuted.
And so the next game of planned parenthood will be to make sure that they document every abortion in Missouri as being a medical emergency or one that is less than 8 weeks (even if it was not a medical emergency, or even if the baby was more than 8 weeks old), and hope that they are not caught. In Alabama, the new procedure will be to say that they did not detect a heartbeat, and the death mill continues to churn. But Planned Parenthood will reflexively challenge any law that may cut into their profits, and by doing that they will eventually send a case back to the Supreme Court. And today, with all of the legal cases decided that present a conundrum for the courts and highlight that Roe v. Wade is a bad law, Roe should eventually be overturned.
