Baron Davis Trade

Baron Davis Trade

I loved this trade.

I sort of hate to see Mo Williams go, since he seemed to actually enjoy Cleveland and really seemed to care about the fans, but bringing in another lottery pick is much more important for the franchise, even if this draft isn't supposed to be that good.

Don't claim to be a basketball expert, but I would love to see Davis stick with the Cavs and evolve into a Jason Kidd type and mentor the young guys coming in.

From the talk on Boston sports radio it seems most were sorry to see Semih go. Would be fun to have him develop into a top-notch center.

It would be nice if Baron could stay motivated during his time in Cleveland. However, I get the feeling that if the Cavs can find someone if the offseason who wants him (which may be difficult), he'll be gone ASAP.

I know him and Byron made up, but he still carries some baggage on his reputation with the mentioned motivation. I don't think anyone is willing to pickup his salary (not 100% sure, but I don't think the NBA allows contract shenanigans like MLB and NFL where the team dumping them absorbs future pay).
